IBRAHIM SHEHU SHEMA FOR THE PROMOTION OF INDUSTRIES IN THE
STATE.
1. FIRE/LATERITIC
CLAY : - Refractory’s are materials mostly
non-metallic minerals that have enormous heat capacities and
can withstand high temperatures as well as other strains
exerted on them such as abrasion, impact, thermal shock,
chemical attack and high level loads at elevated
temperature.

2. KAOLIN
: - Kaolin is a versatile industrial material of wide
application it is an inert and soft industrial mineral
produced by the alteration of aluminous silicates,
particularly of alkali-feldspar which is caused by either
weathering or hydrothermal action.

follows: Paints, Chemicals, refractory’s, Ceramics,

also KTSG and Private investors has established a
Ceramic Grade Plant at Dutsin-ma. |
3. MICA (MUSCOUVITE):
- It is widely distributed in igneous rock.

used also as a mould lubricant in molded rubber
products and in wall paper finishes, dry powder used
in fire extinguishers, in oil well drilling mud etc.

QUARTZ

identified in the Local Government.

5. TOPAZ AND
TOURMALINE: - Topaz occurs typically in granite
pegmatite, rhyolites and Quartz veins it also occurs as
grains in granites which have subjected to alteration by
fluorine bearing solutions and is accompanied by fluorite,
tourmaline, apatite, beryl and cassiterite. Topaz also
occurs as worn grains and pebbles in alluvial deposit.

local government is traditionally an agricultural area both
rainy and dry season farming is practiced in the Area. The
